COME BE A PART

Mission Trip Stories

I have had the amazing opportunity to go on mission with Master Cares in Uganda twice over the last two years. Leading up to my first trip to Uganda, I experienced anxiety and doubt about whether or not I should be going on the trip, but the Lord worked through my worries and that week ended up being one of the best and most life changing experiences of my life.

Throughout the trip, our team would be pushed out of our comfort zones, whether that meant being asked on the spot to lead a bible study using a translator, creating a gospel conversation and sharing the Good News for the first time, telling someone our testimony, or leading worship for high schoolers. During our malnutrition clinic, I was doubting myself when it came to being a decision counselor and leading someone to Jesus. I remember sitting with a woman who had brought her sick daughter to our clinic and preparing myself to share the gospel with her. I was incredibly anxious and full of doubt. I have never seen myself to be a great public speaker and was incredibly nervous about saying the right things and avoiding the wrong things. But I will never forget praying to Jesus and asking Him to give me the right words to say. I remember asking Him to use me as His instrument and that anything I said to this woman would be from the Lord and not myself. I prayed for God to take full control of the moment. This mother ended up asking Jesus into her heart at the end of our conversation. Her salvation was not because of something I had strategically written out before our conversation, it was because of the Lord’s power. I was in awe of how powerful the Lord was in this moment. The mother was walking away from our tent completely changed, all because of how good and faithful our God is when we call on Him. This was the first time in my life that I had personally and clearly witnessed 2 Corinthians 12:9, “...for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”. The Lord is so powerful and He will never leave you alone when you call on Him. When you ask God to provide where you fall short, He surely will show up.

Mission Trip Inquiries

Whether you come with family, friends, a church group, students, or medical colleagues—or join an existing team—there’s a place for you. Our trips are typically 11 days and offer opportunities to serve in meaningful, life-changing ways.

Ways You Can Serve

  • Serve Teams – Build playgrounds, paint schools, and meet practical community needs.

  • Medical Teams – Partner with local doctors, nurses, and midwives in Bethlehem Community Hospital or bring hope and healing to remote villages through mobile malnutrition clinics.

  • Evangelism Teams – Share the Gospel through Bible studies, discipleship groups, and outreach in villages, schools, and our vocational programs.

Trip Highlights

  • Water Well Dedications – Celebrate with entire villages as they receive clean water, replacing long walks to unsafe, disease-ridden sources with life-giving wells. Click here for more information or to contribute to building a water well.

  • Malnutrition Outreach – In Uganda, 29% of children under age five suffer from malnutrition. Teams provide vital nutrition and education to hundreds of children at each outreach, with the most critical cases receiving care at our Bethlehem Community Hospital.

Be Part of the Change

Every well dug, every clinic held, and every Bible study taught is a chance to bring practical help and share the hope of Jesus Christ.
